Lost key, damaged key or spare?
Tell us whether every key is lost, one working key remains, or the problem is limited to a remote or key shell. The answer can change what equipment, parts and procedures are needed. A traditional key, transponder key and proximity fob are not interchangeable products.
Confirm compatibility before buying a key
A key that looks identical may use a different chip, frequency or specification. Used remotes may not be reusable for a different vehicle. Ask about the exact part and programming requirements before ordering an online key. Support for a specific model, year or system must be confirmed.
Cutting and programming are different tasks
A mechanical blade must match the vehicle’s lock. An electronic key may also need to be recognized by the vehicle. Some requests involve both. Do not assume that cutting a blade will make a vehicle start, or that a remote with working buttons has a correctly cut emergency blade.
Discuss the complete estimate
Ask whether the quote covers the key, cutting, programming, the service visit and any other required work. Vehicle specification and whether all keys are lost can affect the scope. The complete estimate is based on your vehicle and the requested work.
